- Administrator privileges are required to install GstarCAD and licensing tools.
- Microsoft .NET 8.0 (only for custom software development).
- The network license server and all workstations using network-licensed applications must support the TCP/IP protocol.

Important Installation Notes
- GstarCAD and its associated tools are developed and compiled with Visual Studio 2022. For the software to function correctly, the operating system must be capable of properly installing the Visual Studio 2022 runtime library.
- If you encounter issues during installation or startup, try right-clicking the installation file to extract it and manually install the Visual Studio 2022 runtime. If this does not resolve the issue, an operating system upgrade is required.
- During installation and registration, you must right-click the icon and select "Run as administrator".
- If your antivirus software triggers alerts during installation, you must allow all actions to ensure a successful installation.

Intel Processors Older Macs with Intel chips
GstarCAD 2026 for macOS is available exclusively for Mac computers with Apple Silicon processors (M1 through M5). Older Macs with Intel processors are not supported.

GstarCAD for Linux supports Ubuntu, Debian and Astra Linux distributions (64-bit AMD/Intel systems). The program is designed for stable operation in professional environments and enables working with DWG files on the Linux platform.
GstarCAD has a separate installation file for each operating system.
